RE:Wikipedia, The Free Encyclopedia (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Main_Page)

Dear Sir/Madam,

Your organization is featured in an article on Wikipedia, the online encyclopedia. You can find the article at:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Confederation_of_Trade_Unions_%28Albania%29

If you are unfamiliar with Wikipedia, it is a free online encyclopedia that can be edited by virtually anyone. It is operated and maintained by a large number of volunteer editors. Within Wikipedia there is a group of editors who have formed a project called WikiProject Organized Labour. One of the goals of this project is to expand the coverage of trade unions within Wikipedia. We are contacting you to encourage your participation in improving both the articles relating to the KSSh and Wikipedia in general.

One of the founding principles of Wikipedia is the idea of a “Neutral Point of View” (NPOV). This requires articles to maintain a neutral stance, and represent all major views in a proportional sense. This requirement highlights the possible conflict of interest which may occur should you decide to edit the articles related to your organization.

With that in mind, the WikiProject Organized Labour has created several tools and guidelines to help you understand what may or may not be appropriate editing practices. These guidelines can be found at:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:WikiProject_Organized_Labour/Outreach/Welcome

We would encourage you to consider participating directly with us at the WikiProject, and look forward to hearing from you.

Sincerely,

The WikiProject Organized Labour (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:WikiProject_Organized_Labour)

Please note that this letter is not from the Wikipedia Foundation, nor is it intended to speak for Wikipedia. Rather, this is the initiative of several individual editors involved with the WikiProject Organized Labour.
