[edit] Naming conventions

Unless there is more than one community in the state with the same name, the article should always be "Foobar, Oklahoma", whether the community is a city, village, town or unincorporated area. If there is a city or village and a town with the same name located next to each other, the city/village should be "Foobar, Oklahoma" and the town should be "Foobar (town), Oklahoma". If and only if there is more than one town in the state with the same name, the town titles should be "Foobar, County A, Oklahoma" and "Foobar, County B, Oklahoma".

[edit] Oklahoma template

All towns, cities, counties in Oklahoma should have the template {{Oklahoma}} at the bottom below everything else in the article (including external links, etc).

[edit] Oklahoma City/Tulsa templates

  • I modified the Oklahoma City template and made sure all links contained in it had the template on the page. I modified it because it looked too plain so I rewrote it enlarging the flag and adding color. --Nmajdan 18:32, 24 May 2006 (UTC)
  • No Tulsa template exists so someone might want to create one using the above template as a guideline. I may tackle this soon (possible today if I get a chance). --Nmajdan 18:32, 24 May 2006 (UTC)
    • Ok, I had time. I created the template. However, I linked a lot of the information back to the main Tulsa page to limit the number of red links. Over time, hopefully these will be expanded to their own pages (i.e. Education in Tulsa, Oklahoma instead of Tulsa, Oklahoma#Education and science). Please, feel free to expand on this and add neighborhoods/districts or whatever. --Nmajdan 18:52, 24 May 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Infobox City template

All towns and cities should ultimately make use of the {{Infobox City}} template. Only a couple of cities (like Lawton, OK) actually do this right now.

[edit] Infobox County template

All counties should ultimately make use of the {{Infobox U.S. County}} template.
