WikiProject NASCAR is a project to better organize information in articles related to NASCAR. This page and its subpages contain suggestions as how to do so; it is hoped that this project will help to focus the efforts of other Wikipedians. If you would like to help, please see the To-do list, inquire on the talk page, or better yet, look around, and edit as you see fit. (This project, like everything else on the Wikipedia, is what everyone makes of it.)

- NASCAR announced that its premiere series will be retitled the Sprint Cup in 2008.
- NASCAR announced that the Busch Series changed sponsorship. It will be called the Nationwide Series in 2008.
- The Car of Tomorrow is now the only car body allowed in Sprint Cup competion.
- 2007 drivers that have announced that they will be driving for new teams in 2008 include Dale Earnhardt, Jr. and J. J. Yeley. Open wheel drivers Patrick Carpentier, Dario Franchitti, Sam Hornish, and Jacques Villenueve have joined the tour.
- Jimmie Johnson was crowned the 2007 NASCAR Nextel Cup Series champion

- Create standards of quality for NASCAR-related articles, consistent with Wikipedia's broader standards for biographical articles and sporting event articles, and consistent with Wikipedia's overall standards of WP:Verifiability, WP:NPOV, and so forth.
- Create and standardize articles for NASCAR drivers, teams, tracks and series
- Better organize all NASCAR-related articles
- Expand upon existing NASCAR-related articles
- Define areas requiring attention of above mentioned goals.
