Each month a My Chemical Romance Collaboration of the Month will be picked using this page.

This is a specific My Chemical Romance-related topic which initially either has no article, has only a basic stub-like page, is in need of more information, or is on its final stretch to achieving GA or FA status. The aim of this project is to improve the quality of Wikipedia's MCR articles through widespread cooperative editing. It is our hope that some of these will go on to become featured articles.

The project is also used to fill gaps in Wikipedia, to give users a focus, and to give us all something to be proud of. Any registered user can nominate an article and can vote for any number of the nominated articles. The last Saturday of every month, the votes are tallied, and the winning article will be promoted for a month to potential contributors.

The current My Chemical Romance Collaboration of the Month is My Chemical Romance.
The next winner will be selected on Saturday, June 30, 2007.
Last month's article was: The Black Parade

[edit] Considerations for nominations

  • To convince others to support your nomination, give reasons as to why the article that you selected should be the MCRCotM.
  • Will the majority of editors on Wikipedia be able to contribute to it?
  • Would it be more appropriate to put the article under a Peer Review?

[edit] About nominations

To nominate an article, go to the nominations section of the page here. In that section type the following above the other nominations in the nominations section:

===[[Insert article name here]]===
Insert convincing reason as to why this article deserves to be the MCRCotM. ~~~~

[edit] Pruning

Nominations that have not been selected after a period of six months (being up for voting six times) will be moved here. If still needed, the article may be put back up (but not moved from the removal page) as long as this does not happen every cycle. When the article is put back up, it does not retain its previous votes.

An archive of old nominations from past months will be available here.

[edit] Mama (My Chemical Romance song)

As this is the new single, the article ought to have the focus of a team of editors to bring it up to at least a good article standard. There's anough out there about this song, thanks to having Liza Minnelli involved and being pretty much the group's heaviest single release to date. I've improved the article from a sloppy stub to a comfortably high end Start article (almost B class, to be honest) but it wouldn't be tough to get it to a top end B to put forward for GA after it is released (early next month). lincalinca 03:35, 10 October 2007 (UTC)
