Welcome to the Missouri Wikiproject.

Welcome to WikiProject Missouri. We are a board of editors committed to the proper exposition of information about the U.S. state of Missouri throughout Wikipedia. Our primary goal is to research and provide the most accurate and detailed information about Missouri and its history, society, people, places, culture and spirit. This mission is accomplished in our writing without regard for our personal biases, professing an obedience to neutrality in language, ideas and thoughts while respecting the diversity of opinions on each article subject. [edit] Collaboration

This section is designated for an article that will be temporarily featured for article improvement. Nominate articles that are of significant importance that you feel need to be revised to meet higher standards. The Current Collaboration is Tom Pendergast.

The following proposals for collaboration have been made:

  • The Day After - filmed in KC and Lawrence, a concerted effort is underway to make this a features article on the main page. Most of the film took place in Missouri. --KHill-LTown 04:41, 18 April 2006 (UTC)
  • Support. Very interesting and well written. --preschooler@heart my talk - contribs 22:47, 21 April 2006 (UTC)
  • Since this is the Missouri Project shouldn't the article on Missouri be a feature article? After all, Missouri is what this project is all about. --(Steve 20:47, 27 April 2006 (UTC))

support. That's not a bad idea. however we'll need support from at least 3 people (or 3 more supporters than opposers) to get it approved. keep in mind that it's good to find articles that are well written and that most wouldn't have read otherwise. --preschooler@heart my talk - contribs 17:19, 2 May 2006 (UTC)

  • oppose I'd have to agree with Steve on this. While this is a good article, I don't think that it's the one we want to stand behind. I would much rather see something more related to Missouri make it to featured status. Amalas =^_^= 17:52, 2 May 2006 (UTC)
Comment. wait, what are you referring to in your opposition? "the day after" or "Missouri"? --preschooler@heart my talk - contribs 19:16, 2 May 2006 (UTC)
Oops... I meant to say that I oppose The Day After. Amalas =^_^= 20:19, 2 May 2006 (UTC)
  • oppose OK, the unknown newbie chimes in. The Day After is a great article, but I don't think playing up a program about the end of life as we know it would necessarily be the best sort of advertisement for the state. I personally think playing up some other article which might need more work, like Lewis and Clark, Harry Truman, Louisiana Purchase, Branson, Missouri, St. Louis, Missouri, U.S. Route 66, or even KMOX might function as a better advertisement for the state than an end-of-the-world story. Granted, any other would need improvements, but those could be made a priority of the group. My personal choice would be U.S. Route 66. There's a great exhibit at the Jefferson Expansion about the subject, and I could try to get some good photos and other items to upgrade the article. Of course, I don't necessarily know what I'm talking about. Feel free to heckle. Badbilltucker 01:23, 8 June 2006 (UTC)
