Great Uncle was Chief Executive Officer on Fletcher-class destroyer, won major award for sinking I.J.N. submarine. Another Great Uncle was the rear gunner on a Helldiver, my great-Grandmother was in the WACS, and my other great Grandfather. . . was a ships clerk on a trip that circulated from New York to Trinidad and Tobago. They can't all be heroes.)
