Wikipedia:WikiProject Military history/Medieval warfare task force
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Welcome to the Medieval warfare task force of the Military history WikiProject! The task force coordinators are Kirill Lokshin (talk), Kyriakos (talk) and Wandalstouring (talk).
Contents |
[edit] Scope
This task force covers military history from roughly 500 to 1500. More specifically, its scope begins with the fall of the Roman Empire and ends just before the development of the rifle and the Age of Discovery. Although this period is generally regarded as an era of European history, other areas (such as the pre-Columbian empires, the expansion of Islam, the Mongolian Empire, and so forth) are also welcome.
Events after c. 1500 are covered by the Early Modern warfare task force.
