- Alamein and the City Loop could largely be considered complete, and need little attention (although the City Loop could do with signalling information).
- We now have basic articles on the Belgrave, Lilydale, Glen Waverley, Hurstbridge, Epping, Frankston, Pakenham, Sandringham, Cranbourne, Upfield, Werribee, Broadmeadows, Sydenham, Williamstown, Flemington Racecourse, and Melton lines, as well as Puffing Billy - these need to be improved to Alamein standard.
- We have nothing at all on the Stony Point, Sunbury, Craigieburn, Mornington and Healesville lines.
[edit] Information to include
- station list (from Flinders Street in most cases, excluding the greater metropolitan lines, Alamein and Flemington Racecourse)

- key dates
- signalling information (see VicSig)
- history/any attempts to close the line
- ticketing zones
- lines it shares track with
- major landmarks it services
- all stop/express status
- signage status ('Metlinked' or not)
- any premium stations
- terminus station(s)
- any cultural references
- suburbs and local government areas that it passes through
