[edit] The Marine Life WikiProject

The Marine Life WikiProject is designed to further information on Wikipedia. It is here to address both biological aspects of marine life but also its husbandry in the aquatics hobby.

It aims to create both good and featured articles ranging from marine fish, invertebrates, corals, aquatics, and marine ecology.

Many articles could greatly benefit from having a picture in the taxobox. A lot of fish that are common in the aquarium trade would be easy to get pictures of as they are commonly owned and sold. Upload any pictures to WikiPedia Commons.

[edit] Adopt an article

Similar to the Collaboration of the week, but on a smaller scale, you might want to "adopt" an article. This would involve doing the research, writing, and picture-taking (if possible) for either a non-existent article or a stub. Of course, everyone else can still edit an adopted article, and you can work on other things too, but the idea is to find a focus for a while, to try and build up the number of quality articles the Project has produced.
