Wikipedia:WikiProject Malaysia/Collaboration
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Malaysian collaboration article will be voted each month. The goal of this department is to improve Malaysia-related underdeveloped articles. However, it is very possible that a more established article is chosen, preferably until it reaches the featured article status. Every month, new nominees are added and voters can participate to choose the suitable article.
The current Malaysian collaboration of the month is Pan-Malaysian Islamic Party. Please read the project page and share your thought. |

[edit] How it works
Being a Malaysian is not a requirement to contribute in this project. The voting process is generated when an article is being improved. Therefore, there will be two processes, article improvement and voting. In addition, a new article nomination winner should have been decided just before the current collaboration finishes.
[edit] Nominate an article
Please follow the steps below
- Copy this template below.
- Edit the nominations page and Paste the template at the bottom.
- Put your comments on why do you think we should improve this article.
- Copy the {{Malaysian collaboration nominee}} template on the article's discussion's page.
- Start voting. Don't forget to put your signature!

[edit] Overall procedure
- Think a suitable article for this collaboration. Try to choose a less-developed article, although you can choose any article.
- Nominate the article for the collaboration.
- Don't feel bad about someone because the article you've nominated has lost or losing. This is our project, we work together. You can always add another nominee the week after.
- Wait until the whole procedure of nominating an article has done.
- Change the {{Malaysian collaboration nominee}} template with {{Current Malaysian collaboration}} template on the article's discussion page.
- Start improving the article the best you can!
- If you want, please discuss any relevant issue with other editors here.
- When the current article's improvement time has finished, change the {{Current Malaysian collaboration}} template with {{Past Malaysian collaboration|Date=monthname|Year=year}} template.
- Repeat the same pattern :D
[edit] Voting
- A suggestion, vote, or a show of support for an article shows your commitment to support and aid in collaborating on that specific article if it is chosen.
- Although you are not required to fulfill that commitment, we ask that you only support articles that you are able to contribute to so that this collaboration's goals of expanding and improving articles can adequately be achieved.
- Please add only support votes. Opposing votes will not affect the result, as the winner is simply the one with the most support votes.
- Rather than each nominating a different article, if there are already a few, please chose one already listed.
- The best collabs involve research Copyediting is good, but it doesn't expand an article.
- Remember! Only suggest or support articles that you can contribute to. Thanks.

Support
- Short article for an important topic.Wai Hong (talk) 14:26, 12 May 2008 (UTC)
- Support. The information in the article is too brief. It also seriously needs to be formatted and wikified. The article Geography and climate of Singapore can be used as an example. Acs4b T C U 15:19, 25 May 2008 (UTC)

Comments
- Consists mostly of statistics (presumably copy pasta, at worst), and little proses. Basic information on geographic features, primarily those dealing with the formation of major ridges in Peninsular Malaysia and Malaysian Borneo is a must; bodies of water, climate, and elevations are also essential. - Two hundred percent (talk) 06:46, 28 May 2008 (UTC)
