Welcome to the 2007 WikiProject London Transport Images Regulations.

This page provides details of what types of images can be used in our articles or elsewhere.

Contents

[edit] Depots/Garages

These are forbidden as you more than likely cannot provide proof that you did not trespass onto the premises. 'Over the buildings' images are also not permitted as these do not meet the quality image guidelines.

[edit] Quality

Blurred or photos taken in bad weather conditions are not permitted unless stated otherwise. The image is prefered to be on the level. Photos must be taken of the whole bus and not just part of it. Side bus photos are frowned upon.

[edit] London Underground

Photos of deep-level London Underground platforms are not permitted as proff cannot be found if it was taken with a tripod or with flash. Doing this is dangerous and can cause overcrowding as there is not much room on the underground.

[edit] Buses

Photos of bus interiors are not permitted due to increased terror risks. However photos of the outside of buses are permitted as long as they meet our quality guidelines.

[edit] Roundels

Photos of roundels are permitted as long as they are of one at ground level or on TfL signs.

Roundel at 70 pixels.

Our roundels must only be shown at 50 or 70 px. They are to be used solely within WP:LT. They are used mostly within the Portal for illustrating news articles.

The silver series was launched on March 22nd 2007 when TfL's website was relaunched. Improvements over the last series includes:

  • They are all the same dimensions so they will look better when stacked.
  • They have a silver backing design which makes them more modern and matches the new portal colour scheme. Yet they still meet TfL's roundel design standards.
  • They now only represent modes instead of lines to make it easier to pick one for a article.

The British Transport Police roundel should only be used with safety notices and news directly related to the BTP.
