Wikipedia:WikiProject London Transport/Bus route article notability

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

This page explains the reasons why a London bus route should and shouldn't have its own article.

[edit] Should

  • Low number routes, as these have a natural associacion with the history of London.
  • Trunk route which forms the backbone of the London Buses network such as west London's 207 and 607.
  • Famous route or a tourist route such as central London's 15.
  • Important but not famous, such as route C1.

[edit] Shouldn't

  • Local routes which are not in central London. Also not considered part of the main stems of the London Buses network.
  • Historic routes that use the same number as a present route. These should be part of the present routes article if it meets the 'Should' rules.
