Wikipedia:WikiProject Linux/Mini Collaboration Nominations

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

WikiProject Linux strives to maintain a high level in the Linux articles. Here you can nominate an article to become the mini collaboration. The aim is to produce featured/good-standard articles, through inter-project cooperative editing. Any article, created or not on the Wikipedia mainspace can be nominated here, so long as it is related directly to Linux, and is not already FA status.

The next project article won't be selected until the project is running properly
The current UTC time is 00:14, June 15, 2008.

[edit] How to nominate

Here is template for nominations:

ARTICLE
:Nominated MONTH DAY, YEAR

; Support:
# (sign with four tildes)

; Comments:
* (put your reason for nomination, sign again)

----
 1. Copy and paste the template to the bottom of the list of nominations on this page and fill it out. It is important to use UTC time; the current time and date now is 00:14, Sunday June 15, 2008 (UTC).
 2. Under "comments" section put explanation of what work is needed.

Considerations

 • Giving good reasons will help others in supporting your nomination.
 • If you're thinking of renominating an article which has recently failed, consider waiting a month before renominating it.

[edit] How to vote

Sign with "# ~~~~" on the end of the list of the article you want to vote for. Opposing votes are not counted; see approval voting.

 • Only participants of the WikiProject Linux may vote.
 • Only support votes and comments should be added, as the articles are chosen by approval voting.
 • Do not vote for all of the nominations. If you do, your votes will be discounted, as people can't expect you to work on all of them.
 • The article with the most votes at selection time will become the next Mini Collaboration of WikiProject Linux.

[edit] How the article is elected

Article with most votes on selection date is elected as "the Mini Collaboration article". If two articles have same number of votes, the older nominee wins.

 • Not a good article. References aren't properly organized. Information isn't complete. It will be a part of the 2007 Wikipedia CD Selection and should be stellar for that moment.
