Some Wikipedians have formed a project to better organize information in articles related to metropolitan Jacksonville in the U.S. state of Florida.

This page and its subpages contain their suggestions; it is hoped that this project will help to focus the efforts of other Wikipedians. If you would like to help, please inquire on the talk page and see the to-do list there. The scope of WikiProject Jacksonville is to expand, and keep organized, the vast expanse of articles covering topics related to the Greater Jacksonville Metropolitan, including its governing bodies, its geographical features, its people, its culture, and its history. We will do this through volunteer contributors and editors. If you are interested in joining the WikiProject, please feel free to add your name to the Participants list below, and find yourself an article to adopt.

Tasks
  1. Turn Jacksonville into a featured article
    • Add photographs to Jacksonville-related articles.
    • Mention cultural features of the city beyond those that are immediately visible to tourists.
  2. Expand Jacksonville's higher education articles (use the suggested format by WP:UNI)
  3. Improve the stub articles related to Jacksonville and identify and tag new Jacksonville-related stub articles.
  4. Write and expand articles on the notable skyscrapers in the Jacksonville skyline (Bank of America Tower, for example).
  5. Improve and complete the neighborhood section.
  6. Cite sources
