This is a WikiProject, a collaboration area and open group of editors dedicated to improving Wikipedia's coverage of a particular topic, or to organizing some internal Wikipedia process.

Some Wikipedians have formed a project to better organize information in articles related to Hermetism. This page and its subpages contain their suggestions; it is hoped that this project will help to focus the efforts of other Wikipedians. WikiProject on Hermetism

The scope of this project is subject to change in compliance with original intent

This project's scope covers articles on Hermetism and Hermeticism, Hermetic concepts, Hermetists and Hermeticists, and non-Hermetic thinkers who were influential in the history of Hermetism and Hermeticism. The intention is to create, improve, and maintain these articles. The project also attempts to include Hermetic influence in non-Hermetic articles.

The type of articles that it works on include:

  1. Articles about Hermetism or Hermeticism themselves (e.g. Hermetism, Hermeticism)
  2. Articles about Hermetic concepts (e.g. The All)
  3. Articles about Hermetists and Hermeticists (e.g. Paracelsus, John Dee)
  4. Articles about Hermetic Literature (e.g. Corpus Hermeticum)
  5. Articles about non-Hermetic thinkers who were influential in the history of Hermetism and Hermeticism (e.g. Maimonides)

This project is not for:

  1. Non-Hermetic Occult topics
  2. Platonism
  3. Neo-Platonism
  4. Gnosticism

Similar to the Collaboration of the week, but on a smaller scale, you might want to "adopt" an article. This would involve doing the research, writing, and picture-taking (if possible) for either a non-existent article or a stub. Of course, everyone else can still edit an adopted article, and you can work on other things too, but the idea is to find a focus for a while, to try and build up the number of quality articles the Project has produced.
