E komo mai. Welcome to the Hawaii Wikiproject.
Aloha! Welcome to WikiProject Hawaiʻi. We are a board of editors committed to the proper exposition of information about the U.S. state of Hawaiʻi and Hawaiiana throughout Wikipedia. Our primary goal is to research and provide the most accurate and detailed information about Hawaiʻi and the Hawaiian Islands, its history and its society, its people and its places, its culture and its spirit. This mission is accomplished in our writing without regard for our personal biases, professing an obedience to neutrality in language, ideas and thoughts while respecting the diversity of opinions on each article subject. Our end is to educate all visitors to this academic and encyclopedic forum.
Through the creation of WikiProject Hawaiʻi, we aspire to improve all articles already written related to Hawaiʻi and the Hawaiian Islands. WikiProject Hawaiʻi is a means of focusing our collective efforts. Also, past disputes over the use of the Hawaiian language and its alphabet in Wikipedia articles inspire us to unite in the diversity of our backgrounds and ideas, to come together to develop and codify a standardized manual of style for use in these articles and all future articles. Such a standardized guideline is necessary for proper comprehension and enhancement of the flow of unity of information provided from all subjects in the family of Hawaiʻi-related articles.
If you are interested in participating in this ambitious and important work, we encourage you to join our board of editors and consider this your principal resource center for Hawaiʻi-related articles. To participate in WikiProject Hawaiʻi, please list your user information below. After you have done that, browse through the subpages and to-do lists provided and choose a project you can take upon yourself. You may also want to start a project of your own. Further inquiries about WikiProject Hawaiʻi should be added to the discussion page.
