If you have Microsoft Word on your computer, go to it. Have the styles and formating=normal, Font has to be times Times New Roman, and font size need to be 12. Now go to edit mode on your talk page and copy and paste it to the Microsoft Word Document start at the Big Island Kings down to before the If. (The Big Island Kings might turn out a little off.)
When it reaches Kepookalani, is the main part of the family tree. I didn't center it so if you like you could.
I am planning to edit this tree to the House of Kalakaua article. I need your help. You can see why; look at this thing I made. I think I prefer the rather than a better version of this chart. This is really complicated because of all the intermarriages between the alii of Hawaii. If you are really confused, I can write the entire tree into words, so you can have a visual and written reference. Just ask. Here are the sites/book that are my reference:
- Rootsweb Geneaology
- Geneaology:THE HAWAIIAN ISLANDS
- THE KUMULIPO:KALAKAUA AND LILIUOKALANI'S GENEALOGY
- HAWAII'S STORY BY HAWAII'S QUEEN Appendix E-F
- The Royal Family of Hawaii Official Site Kalakaua Chart
If you can't create one, could you ask if anyone other User would create one. If you can create a family tree, I will have three more ready for you in a while about the House of Kamehameha, Kawananakoa, and Keoua Nui. KAVEBEAR(talk) 05:08, 20 May 2008 (UTC) One last tip, tried copy and pasting instead of spelling words out because the Merina Monarchs got change to the Merrie Monarchs.KAVEBEAR(talk) 05:29, 20 May 2008 (UTC)

This took me hours to make, and I am still not finished. See the dash to the right of Ka'akauawao that is suppose to be the line leading up to the Mauian kings but I am confused on how to finis it.
[edit] Marriages
I simply am unable to use the ASCII link you gave me to make your desired format that uses the symbol Husband══╤══Wife. It took me hours to make half of it and still I can't finish it. I constantly have to edit and save and edit and save. I sorry. This is only on Wikipedia that is, I could probably use your desire format on Microsoft. If you want me to I will
[edit] Equal Signs
I hope this addresses you about the marriage and lack of geneology knowlegde. Here I'll just give the marriages in by placing the equal signs. I am concern how the tree will show the sex of the aliis.
Bottom to top.
- Likelike (f) = Archibald Cleghorn (m)
- Keohokalole (f) = Kapa'akea (m)
- Kamaeokalani (f) = Aikanaka (m)
- Kamanawa II (m) = Kamokuikui (f)
- Keohohiwa (f) = Kepo’okalani (m)
- Alapaiwahine (f) = ‘‘same as above”
[edit] =Keohohiwa ancestors:
- Keawe-a-heulu (m) = Ululani (f)
- Heulu (m) = ?
- Ha'ae-a-Mahi needs to be removed from the tree as he is not the father of Heulu. Mistakes were made sorry
- Mokulani (m) = Niau of Maui (f)
[edit] Alapaiwahine ancestors:
- Ka-I-Imaniao (m) = Kaolanialii (f) marriage of father and daughter
- Ka-I-Imaniao (same as above) = Kapaihi Ahu (female, mother of Kaolanialii wife of her husband)
- Ahu (m) = ? (parents of Kapaihi Ahu)
- Keaweikekahiali`iokamoku (m) = Lonoma'aikanaka (f)
- Ahuai (m) = Piilani-wahine (f)
- Kaumakaowakea (m) = ? (f) ,
- Kaumakaowakea is descendant of Kings of Maui and is king himself king in the article Mo'i of Maui, he is listed as Kalanikaumakaowake.
- Kanaloa-i-Kaiwilena Kapulehu (m) = Keakealaniwahine (f) I thought you would understand that the horizontal lines meant marriages even though Keakea was higher up than Kanaloa
- Kalani-o-'Umi (f) = ‘Umi-nui-kukailani (m)
- Makakaualii (m) = Ka'akauawao (f)
- Kalani-o-'Umi’s mother is Kaikilani. I know the father but that involve complicating the tree further all the way up to the King Umi who Heulu and many other figure on this tree is also descended distantly from.
- Iwikauikaua (male, marries again, will be shown later) = Keakamahana (female, mother of Keakeakalaniwahine)
- Kealii-o-kalani' (Keakamahana’s mother) = Keakealanikane' (Keakamahana’s father) this is a sister and brother marriages. Both are siblings of Kalani-o-Umi and issues of Kaikilani
[edit] Kepo’okalani (the center three way split)
- Kame'eiamoku (m) = Kamakaeheikuli (f)
- Kamanwa I brother of Kame’eiamoku, his marriages and children are not shown on this tree as the Kalakauas are not direct descendants of these
- Keawepoepoe (m) = Kanoena (f) full blooded sibling marriages
- Lono-i-kahaupu (male descendant from the Kauaian kings but unlike other not king himself) = Kalanikauleleiaiwi (female, many marriages only one shown on this tree. All four houses of Hawaii descends from her including Kamehameha)
- Kane-i-Kauaiwilani (father of kalanikauleleiaiwi) = Keakealaniwahine (mother of Kalanikauleleiaiwi; mentioned before) half-blooded sibling marriage
- Kauakahi Kua'ana'au-a-kane (mother of Kane-i-Kauaiwilani) = Iwikauikaua (father of Kane-i-Kauaiwilani and Keakealaniwahine with different mothers)
Hope this help and please don't tell me you don't understand the parent to children format. Ask me again if you need help. Oh take a look at this link and click on the family tree. If you think making this tree is hard, think again. KAVEBEAR (talk) 04:50, 23 May 2008 (UTC)
