WikiProject Graphics is devoted to the management of pictorial information displayed within Wikipedia. As a member of Wikipedia maintenance, WikiProject Graphics serves as the top level WikiProject the creation, acquisition, improvement, distribution, and monitoring of Wikipedia pictorial information.

WikiProject Graphics is devoted to the management of pictorial information displayed within Wikipedia. The scope of WikiProject Graphics includes meeting tasks and requests to create, acquire, improve, distribute, and monitor Wikipedia pictorial information not otherwise being met by an existing WikiProject Graphics. The scope of this WikiProject does not include addressing graphics layout, for example, such as Main Page redesign. It is a goal of this WikiProject to ensure that all tasks and requests related to graphics are being met and that the management of pictorial information displayed within Wikipedia is organized and efficient.

  2. There is an open task to review all graphics request templates.
  3. There is an open task to fulfill the requests at Category:Wikipedia requested images-other.
  4. There is an open task to add graphics request parameters to those WikiProject banners that may benefit from such parameters.

Wikipedia pages include text, graphics, and audio. Text imformation is covered by official policies and auido is covered by these WikiProjects. Graphics is the pictorial information displayed by a computer screen and audio relates to the reproduction of sound. WikiProject templates may contain graphics request parameters. In addition, requests for graphics and audio may be made by one of the following request templates.

    animation, drawings (chemical, engineering, music), diagrams, equations, line art, maps, paintings, photographs, video, catch-all requests

  • Distribution of pictorial representations displayed within Wikipedia (for material which already has been added to Wikipedia)
  • Monitoring of pictorial representations displayed within Wikipedia
