This is a list of articles deemed to be major articles in the sport of golf. They are in no particular order. These articles are intended to be top-importance articles in the assessments. If you are not sure an article is significant, discuss it on the talk page.

  • Golf
  • History of golf - at present this is a redirect to a timeline. There is also a section in golf but many major sports have a full length history article. Much of the material that would need to be included in a history of golf article can be found in other articles, but it needs to be reorganised into a well-structured global overview and missing areas need to be filled in (not forgetting that golf is not only played in the UK and the U.S. Eg. the article should cover the history of golf in other countries like Japan and Australia). Even more importantly the article should draw all the strands together to trace the global growth of the sport.

I don't know much about Women's golf, so anyone that does please add some significant players to this list.
