[edit] Nominations for deletion and page moves
Important: If you're thinking about nominating an article for deletion (only articles, not templates or categories), please consider the following two alternative options:
- Does the article meet the criteria for speedy deletion? If so, just tag it with one of the speedy deletion tags and an administrator will delete it (as long as they agree).
- Is the deletion likely to be uncontested? If so then add a proposed deletion tag to it instead; if uncontested after five days, the article will be automatically deleted.
Only if you think the deletion will be contested and debated is it necessary to go through AfD.
When listing a deletion or page move nomination here, please copy-paste the relevant notice to the deletion discussion:
- *<small>This discussion has been included in [[Wikipedia:WikiProject Football#Nominations for deletion and page moves|WikiProject Football]]'s list of association football related deletions. ~~~~</small>

- See also Wikipedia:WikiProject Deletion sorting/Football where deletion nominations are sometimes listed.
Old deletion nominations can be found in the archives:
[edit] Watchlist
For participants to be able to follow changes to pages and sub-pages of the project, please add Category:WikiProject Football to any page of the project you create. To follow all changes to the pages, see the related changes of the above mentioned category. This will work as a sort of watchlist for pages related to the project.
The table below lists articles that regularly need attention. This is usually because of higher rates of vandalism than other pages, it attracts a lot of attention from new users or if it is currently in the middle of an edit war. If you have time, please add these articles to your watchlist and help out when you notice vandalism/crappy edits etc.
There is currently a rough set of criteria for inclusion in this list. These are:
- three instances of vandalism/reverts in a week.
- Or, if the article is currently under some form of page protection, this can be extended to two weeks.
