- Ten articles are at FA level and fourteen are GA level articles, which is an increase by one for the FA status and an increase of five for GA status.
- The
 Food Portal has been updated for the month of July. Durian is the featured article for the month, a quote by James Beard is featured as well as a nice picture from the French Ancien régime featuring the Les Halles market. There are some interesting "did you know" topics included as well.
- There are currently two merge proposals listed for the project. Please help by going to the pages and giving your opinion on the merge proposals.
- Merge Gelatin dessert into Jelly - Discuss Here
- Merge Amuse-bouche into Hors d’œuvre - Discuss Here
- Articles can be "tagged" currently by placing {{WikiProject Food and drink}} in an article's talk page. Please help out with accessing articles for the project once they are tagged as well. This is a tedious job for the few people who are doing it right now.
- A tag will be worked on in the near future for a membership drive, until then it is encouraged that current members invite others that are working on food and drink related articles to become members of the project by placing a personal invitation on their discussion pages along with a link to the project.
