California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection is the current WikiProject Fire Service collaboration. Please do your best to improve this article.
Similar to the Article Creation and Improvement Drive, but on a smaller scale, you might want to "adopt" an article. This would involve doing the research, writing, and picture-taking (if possible) for either a non-existent article or a stub. Of course, everyone else can still edit an adopted article, and you can work on other things too, but the idea is to find a focus for a while, to try and build up the number of quality articles the Project has produced.

- I'm going to qualify my nomination with a plea for help. I started this article a while back, and have been unable to maintain its quality pretty much since its inception. it has long been suffering from waht i consider to be a bias placed upon it by a troll from NJ who doesn't realize that fire service jargon often has a variety of meanings, and refuses to allow the scope of the article to include meanings that aren't used in his precinct. I long ago gave up on this article. It's pretty shitty these days. you can often tell how bad it's gotten by the number of fire department links on the bottom.
