The project covers all articles about Emmerdale, including past, present and future events & characters. Priority should be given the articles in desperate need of rewriting to meet a quality standard, expanding newly created or long-term stubbed articles, and generally maintaining all other articles related to this project.

To get involved with the Emmerdale Wikiproject, check the Assessment scale to see which articles are in need of tidying up and expanding.

Improve Wikipedia's coverage of Emmerdale and its characters, with priory given to existing articles, rather than creating new ones.
Create guidelines for articles about Emmerdale and stick to them, raising and maintaining the general standard of all articles.
Improve the main article (Emmerdale), which is in a sorry state and is predominantly someone's point of view. It needs references, facts, and good information. Not "memorable exits". Use the article EastEnders as a guideline.
Include necessary and essential information where applicable to project articles. For example, all character articles should have an infobox.
Ensure that any images are accurately sourced and conform to fair use policy (including that promotional images can not be used to illustrate living actors).
