This is a collection of discussions on the deletion of articles related to Film. It is one of many deletion lists coordinated by WikiProject Deletion sorting.

You can help maintain the list on this page:

  • To add a new AfD discussion (once it has already been opened on WP:AFD):
  • Edit this page and add {{Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/PageName}} to the top of the list. Replace "PageName" with the relevant article name, i.e. the one on the existing AFD discussion. When you save the page, the discussion will automatically appear.
  • You can also tag the AfD by adding {{subst:delsort|Film}}<small>—~~~~</small> to it, which will inform users that it has been listed here.
  • There are a few scripts and tools that can make this easier.
  • Closed AfD discussions are automatically removed by a bot.
  • You can also add and remove links to other discussions (prod, CfD, TfD etc.) related to Film.

Please note that adding an AfD to, or removing it from, this page does not add it to, or remove it from, the main page at WP:AFD. If you want to nominate an article for deletion, go through the process on that page, before adding it to this page.

For further information see Wikipedia's deletion policy and WP:AfD for general information about Articles for Deletion, including a list of article deletions sorted by day of nomination.

[edit] The Ground House (film)

The Ground House (film) (edit|talk|history|links|watch|logs) (delete) – (View AfD)

Non-notable film, by non-notable director, article created by director "Raymond Mamrak", who gets a whole 9 google hits, none suggesting any notability. Google suggests film hasn't even been made yet. Camillus 22:03, 7 June 2008 (UTC)

  • Delete - I can't find any indication that anyone has taken notice of this film at this point. If it starts to get picked up by the media, then maybe it'll become notable - at this point, there's nothing to indicate it's notable. Tony Fox (arf!) 05:44, 8 June 2008 (UTC)

  • Delete Film has no coverage in reliable sources, and there are self-promotion issues. Bláthnaid 17:29, 8 June 2008 (UTC)
  • Delete There isn't a single independent verifiable source. Secondly, Wikipedia is not a WP:CRYSTAL. Artene50 (talk) 08:52, 9 June 2008 (UTC)

[edit] The Belcoo Experiment

The Belcoo Experiment (edit|talk|history|links|watch|logs) (delete) – (View AfD)

Appears to fail WP:NFF. No prejudice towards recreation when shooting can be verified to have commenced. Girolamo Savonarola (talk) 03:55, 1 June 2008 (UTC)

  • Delete this upcoming horror film as per Girolamo. -- GarbageCollection - !Collect 14:28, 1 June 2008 (UTC)

[edit] The Frog King (film)

The Frog King (film) (edit|talk|history|links|watch|logs) (delete) – (View AfD)

Apparently fails WP:NFF. No prejudice towards recreation when verification of the shoot commencing can be provided. Girolamo Savonarola (talk) 04:04, 1 June 2008 (UTC)

  • Keep The article doesn't cite any sources at all, but from a search on Google, there are reliable sources such as this that exist and prove at least a bit of notability. Juliancolton Tropical Cyclone 23:46, 1 June 2008 (UTC)
I'd recommend you read NFF - it explicitly fails the standards for film notability. Girolamo Savonarola (talk) 06:58, 2 June 2008 (UTC)

  • Weak Keep - Found a few sources [1],[2],[3],[4], I added a reference in the article for the Highly Commended - Independent Feature at the The Festival of Fantastic Films 2006 [5], sources for the other 2 Awards and Festivals would help better establish notability. --Captain-tucker (talk) 20:04, 3 June 2008 (UTC)
  • Keep - It's won some awards; it's notable enough. (I've never much liked the notability requirements anyway.) Just put up a cleanup tag and trust that somebody will improve the article at some point. Sonicsuns (talk) 03:39, 5 June 2008 (UTC)

  • Keep. If the awards section is referenced. Malinaccier (talk) 15:10, 7 June 2008 (UTC)
  • Keep, if the lead is expanded, an image is added, and a few more refs. are added. Limetolime I want an award! look what I did! 15:56, 7 June 2008 (UTC)
  • Keep There's enough sources out there, it's won commendations and award from some pretty large festivals, I think it's notable enough. Ged UK (talk) 16:05, 7 June 2008 (UTC)
