The {{WikiProject Cricket}} project banner template should be added (not subst:ed) to the talk page of every article within the scope of the project. While the template does not require any additional parameters, it has a number of optional ones that add various extra features to the banner. The full syntax is as follows:

General parameters
  • class – a rating of the article's quality; see the assessment department for more details.
  • importance – a rating of the article's importance; see the assessment department for more details.
  • attention – "yes" if the article requires immediate attention; this should be used sparingly.
  • A-Class – "pass" or "current" or "fail" if the article is or has been subject to A-class review.
  • B-Class-n – "yes" if the article meets a criterion for B-class quality status.
  • X-task-force – "yes" if the article belongs to a project task force.
  • portal – if the article is used in the featured article queue of the Cricket Portal, the subpage number of its entry.
  • collaboration-candidate – "yes" if the article is currently a candidate for the project's Collaboration of the Fortnight.
  • past-collaboration – if the article was previously a Collaboration of the Fortnight, the dash-separated dates of the collaboration period; must be left blank otherwise.
  • peer-review – "yes" if the article is currently listed on the project's peer review department.
  • old-peer-review – "yes" if the article was previously listed on the project's peer review department.
  • orphan – "yes" if the article is not currently supported by an Australian WikiProject.
Wikiproject specific parameters

To avoid needlessly cluttering up talk pages, it is usually appropriate to remove any unused parameters from the template.
