[edit] Resources

[edit] Reliable independent sources

[edit] Reliable but not independent sources (publishers)

  • Dupuis.com, publisher of Spirou magazine and comics like Lucky Luke, Gaston Lagaffe, the Smurfs, ...
  • Casterman.com, publisher of Tintin, the magazine A Suivre, and graphic novels by Pratt, Schuiten, Sokal, Boucq, ... (site in French)
  • Le Lombard, publisher of Tintin magazine and comics like Blake and Mortimer, Thorgal, Ric Hochet, Yakari, ...
  • Dargaud, publisher of Asterix, XIII, ... and co-publisher of many comics with Le Lombard (site in French)
  • Glénat, publisher of Titeuf and many comics (site in French)

[edit] Independent, good but not truly reliable sources (wikis or wikilike)

  • Bédétheque, online catalogue containing most French langauge comics, and info on authors as well (in French)
  • BD Oubliées, loads of info on the major French language comics magazines (essential for a publication history and for publications that didn't get into an album or only much later)
  • ToutenBD news and background. French. No idea how reliable.
  • ActuaBD, most important French comics news site. Rather reliable.
  • Stripspeciaalzaak, site of Flemish (and some Dutch) comics shops, lots of news, reviews and interviews (Dutch only)
  • ZoZoLaLa, Dutch comics prozine (site partly in English), good interviews
  • Zilveren Dolfijn, kind of a Dutch language version of Bédétheque, informative but not the easiest to navigate
