Nominations
Nominations for the upcoming week (Week of 8/14/05):
- Irna Phillips
- commentsThis may be somewhat off topic. I have just added her to the biography project. Irna was the creator of the soap opera genre. She created the first radio soaps in Chicago and even when soaps moved to NY and Hollywood she remained in Chicago controlling her works by remote (ie since it was live she would telephone As the World Turns during commercials and yell at the actors/director ect. I figure since people on this board are from Chicago you might be more likely to have access to certain information souces which might be valuable. Dowew 20:58, 24 October 2005 (UTC)
