[edit] Introduction
To vote or nominate you have to be a registered user with at least one contribution that is not a vote. Any and all articles may be nominated except:
- Articles that are currently at featured status
- Articles in edit wars
For participants:

[edit] How to nominate
Here is the template for nominations:
===ARTICLE=== :Nominated DATE, YEAR; needs at least 3 votes by DATE + 14, YEAR Reason ; Support: # ~~~~ ; Comments: * ----
- Copy and paste the template to the bottom of the list of nominations on this page and fill it out. It is important to use UTC time; the current time and date now is 12:48, Wednesday June 11, 2008 (UTC).
- Under "comments" section put explanation of what work is needed.
- After submitting the new nomination, go to the nominated article and put BBAIDnomto do on the top of the article's talk page.
[edit] How to vote
Sign with "# ~~~~" on the end of the list of the article you want to vote for and then update the vote count in the subhead. Opposing votes are not counted; see approval voting. You can vote for as many articles as you like. If, after you vote, the vote count equals the "needs at least xx votes by", then add 2 to "needs at least xx votes" and add a week to date in vote count and "needs at least xx votes by" notice.
Example. You encounter this situation and decide to vote:
History of the world (23 votes, stays until February 7, 2006)
:Nominated December 8, 2005; needs at least 24 votes by February 7, 2006
First you put "# ~~~~" on the end of the list of people who voted for that article and then change the vote count and date in following manner:
History of the world (24 votes, stays until February 14, 2006)
:Nominated December 8, 2005; needs at least 27 votes by February 14, 2006
[edit] How the article is selected
Article with most votes on each Sunday in 00:00 GMT is selected as "The current Article Improvement Drive article". If two articles have same number of votes, the older nominee wins.
[edit] How an article is removed from the list
Articles need three votes per week to stay on the list. If current date (June 11, 2008) exceeds "stays until" date of particular article, that article entry is removed from this page and moved to page for removed nominations.

After discussion on the discussion page, this article seems a logical start.

- This article has a lot of citation already, and is reasonably well written. It is possible for this article to become an FA.--Borgardetalk 06:42, 3 May 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Baseball Prospectus
Reason: Increasingly popular and influential group -- room for expansion by adding some of their main research, a summary of the history of the group, among other topics. There's certainly enough information out there to be able to write a high quality article on.

[edit] Ryan Braun
Reason: A rookie who is leading the majors in slugging percentage and second in batting average (of players with at least 250 plate appearances). Leading all rookies in homers and RBIs, despite having been called up 49 games into the season.

- It's close enough to a GA that being in this drive should shoot it over the hump. Wizardman 11:30, 30 July 2007 (UTC)
- - I agree. Braun is a rising star and will soon be in need of a large article.-- STORMTRACKERStormtracker94 12:24, 20 August 2007 (UTC)

- Hi ... now that we have three votes, what is the next step?--Epeefleche 14:48, 20 August 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Nig Clarke
Reason: Article I have interest in, I want other editors to be aware of this interesting fellow.

- Article listed as "Start", but probably a "B", I did quite alot of work on this article last year, but there much more that could be added, and would be a great challenge to expand and attempt Featured Article status. Neonblak (talk) 16:18, 10 March 2008 (UTC)

- I'm coming here from Wikipedia:Unreferenced articles. I hope it's okay to nominate even though I'm not a project participant, but this one could really use some help. This relatively important article (I think, anyway) has remained unsourced since June 2006, and is also not otherwise in great shape. It would be great to get it fleshed out and referenced!
