WikiProject Amateur radio
WikiProject Amateur radio is a WikiProject that aims to improve Wikipedia's coverage of amateur radio. Its goals are the improvement of Wikipedia articles related to amateur radio, maintainance of the amateur radio category and its sub-categories, and production and maintainance of templates for amateur radio–related topic identification.
Project members should ensure that articles are referenced and written from a neutral point of view—amateur radio operators should resist the urge to resort to boosterism or to write articles from a local or personal point of view.
Please help this project evolve by providing your own modifications, comments and suggestions. (Don't know where to start? Leave a message on the project talk page.)

22:01, 27 March 2008 (UTC) The amateur radio article has been nominated for good article status.--Kharker (talk) 22:06, 27 March 2008 (UTC)
19:42, 26 February 2008 (UTC) I've updated the Template:WikiProject Amateur radio template to support the assignment of class and importance, as well as tagging articles that need urgent attention or infoboxes. This functionality allows the assessment table to be generated. Lots of articles in the project still need to be assessed for both article quality and importance. Doing so will help the project identify important articles in need of improvement. Please help!--Kharker (talk) 19:43, 26 February 2008 (UTC)
20:38, 25 February 2008 (UTC) I've converted the project page to a Turnkey Project. --Kharker (talk) 20:38, 25 February 2008 (UTC)
18:21, 13 February 2008 (UTC) Vintage amateur radio has been listed as a Engineering and technology good article under the good article criteria. - LuckyLouie (talk) 11:12, 30 March 2008 (UTC)

Principals' advice
To maintain article quality, please follow these rules:
- Provide sources for your edits
- ALWAYS make sure images you upload are under proper license Image Copyrights
- Restrain the number of red links
- Ensure external links are active/not broken
- AVOID emotional arguments, statements about editors of other nationalities, name calling, and anything that is not perceived as constructive, source-backed argument.
[edit]
- Create articles about appropriate (and notable) subjects relating to the amateur radio if they don't already exist.
- Tag appropriate existing articles with the project template, and assess them.
- Improve articles by adding appropriate content and references. For some ideas on priorities for improvement see the list of assessed articles by class and importance.
