This is a WikiProject, a collaboration area and open group of editors dedicated to improving Wikipedia's coverage of a particular topic, or to organizing some internal Wikipedia process.

Welcome to WikiProject Abortion.

The purpose of this WikiProject is to provide a central place to discuss work on articles in Category:Abortion and its subcategories. These articles relate to Abortion, Abortion law, the Abortion debate, and the History of abortion.

  • /Category tree: a hierarchal listing of all categories in this project.
  • /Notice board: a listing of current project-related AfD, CfD, and RfC discussions, and a place for users to post requests for mediation, and article monitoring.
  • /Participants: a list of all this project's current members.
  • /Recognized content: a listing of both current and former Featured Articles and Good Articles.
  • /Watchlist (view): a watchlist for monitoring recent changes to project content.

  • /Assessment: a department concerned with assessing project articles by class.

Short-term goals:

  • Look through the categories, and try to eliminate redundancy. Move articles into more specific categories, where possible. Develop a picture of which articles we have, and identify candidates for merging (categories and articles).
  • Identify articles in need of copyediting, wikifying, sourcing, NPOVing, etc.
  • Identify missing articles, and articles in need of more global perspectives.
  • Prioritize tasks, consider having monthly improvement drives in which we focus on specific articles or sections.
  • Further categorize articles. Outline standards to be used in such categorization.
  • Formally outline terminology conventions to be applied throughout articles.
