Wikio

Not to be confused with Wikia.

Wikio is a European search engine for news and blogs. It was created in 2006 by the engineer who created Kelkoo, Pierre Chappaz. Shortly afterwards it was sold to Yahoo!.[1] Its motto is "You are the media".

Since the launch Wikio has opened local websites in French, Italian, Spanish, German and English.

As of December 2007 it is undergoing beta testing.[1]
