User talk:Wikitanoli
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Im sorry but it is another user that keeps changing our proud page. I have put in the books where the information states our heritage and where we have on reocrd claimed our ancestry. Yet some illiterate users keep making us look stupid by changing the page to a crap version. I think that user is a trouble making Pashtun who is trying to make us look Pashtun when it's obvious that we are not. We have many Pathan customs, but so do all Hazara tribes. But to hi jump us into pathans is wrong and haraam. I dont know what your view point is, but you seem to support a view that no book, literary or real source would accept or concede. Show me proof and quotes then we'll talk, otherwise stay away from vandalsing the page. Good day.--Dil tarasha (talk) 12:43, 11 March 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Hi
Thanks for your message. I said what i said because you kept bringing back the other page which stated Pathan origins. I understand your point now and apologise. You are right the page looks a mess with the other users. I think we Tanolis are so mix with different tribes, but we are definitely not accepted as Pasthtuns no way. Thank you for your help with the Tanoli page though brother --Dil tarasha (talk) 14:01, 18 March 2008 (UTC)
Afghan Tanoli for wasting time in our tribes .. go look histry of Afghanistan .. Tanoli previously pashton tribe, and since when outward FDI in Pakistan and India these people histry change that gives the win .. does not mean what some of the tribe pashton forget their language will change their home .. Tanoli is a tribe of pashton here in Afghanistan and its language is Pashto in India and Pakistan do not know that was .. Gardaiz Ghazni and both are cities in Afghanistan .. even with Pakistan and India us is not anything that, we are pashton. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 88.3.47.39 (talk) 14:48, 22 May 2008 (UTC)

[edit] RE: Tanoli page
The reason i nominated the page for deletion is clearly stated on the AfD page. Follow the link on the template to find it. Thank you TheProf | Talk 20:34, 22 March 2008 (UTC)
- I'm sorry to say there is no way to stop the vandalism. Wikipedia is a free Encyclopedia and everyone is welcome to contribute. All we can do is revert the vandalism and warn the vandal. Persistant vandals will be blocked. User:Afghantanoli has already been blocked for his vandalism of that page. If it survives the deletion vote (which it looks like it will), i will keep the page in my watch list and revert any vandalism i find. Thank you TheProf - T / C 13:32, 25 March 2008 (UTC)

I'll have to answer tomorrow or past tomorrow. Too tired today --Enric Naval (talk) 02:20, 11 April 2008 (UTC)
- I took out those two tags and justified the removal, but I added the Nofootnotes tag so people will use "ref" tags for better verifiability. I have to say that a very well sourced article usually discourages vandals from introducing unsourced statements. I think that you are doing a good job too at the article :) --Enric Naval (talk) 15:31, 11 April 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Tanoli
Hi there,
I am the original writer for the Tanoli page before a very rude user almost destroyed my work. I tried my best to reason, but to no avail with the user Pakhtun Tanoli (alias Mumtaz Ahmed). I have just checked the page after an extensive period from it, and noticed that you have done very good work surrounding the article. With your permission and assistance, would you like me to help with clearing up the article format? Not info wise, but in terms of formatting the references, cleaning up the tone and language of the article to wikipedia standards.
Please let me know if you would like help in this area, as I do feel some form of duty to this article as I originally did a lot of research on the Tanoli tribe and provided the citations through the article at the time which abusive users have now removed over time....--~Raja~ (talk) 11:40, 30 April 2008 (UTC)
- Thank you for your kind words Tanoli saheb, I will do my best for this article again Inshallah. Pictures can be uploaded by a simple process. Let me know what you would like to upload, i.e. on your talkpage or the article itself? I know what you mean about the vandals, unfortunately some of our people have very little reasonability or common sense.....what can I say....
- Inshallah, the article will now be on the road to improvement, thanks to your commitment.--~Raja~ (talk) 13:15, 3 May 2008 (UTC)
