[edit] About Jedi6
The reason those edits were reverted and the page was protect was because a series of IP sockpuppets of User:Brazil4Linux was attacking Jedi6, several other users, and a series of other pages. WP:SOCK states this as circumventing blocks (hence, deserving a block of the sockpuppet); therefore, Jedi6 did the right thing. Now, if Jedi6 went in and reverted YOUR recent edit and claimed it to be "vandalism", then I cound see your point. — Deckiller 19:23, 7 April 2006 (UTC)
- Also if you do read this it says Adam is a host on top and later in the Adam Sessler interview section it says "Along with co-host Morgan Webb". The term co-host implies an equal position not one above the other. Jedi6-(need help?) 23:00, 7 April 2006 (UTC)
Reply: Oh, so you claim that "edits made in good faith, even if incorrect, are not vandalism." Then why did you get page protection on the Morgan Webb article and claim it was vandalism when someone was trying to do, as you said, "make an edit in good faith", even though you claim it was incorrect. Your statements and actions arent agreeing with each other. NOTE: Excuse me for the very judgemental tone of my reply, but I'm a professional at interrogation and thinking like that in real life. Wikipeedio 02:56, 9 April 2006 (UTC)
- You are misunderstanding this. Those edits were made in bad faith. A user called User:Brazil4Linux occasionally vandalizes my page using sockpuppets. One time the user made several sockpuppets, see here, and vandalized my page. Also he reverted every contribution I had made for the last couple of days for no reason. The user wasn't arguing about the change but was reverting everything I did everywhere. Check out the other contributions of one of the sockpuppets [here]. If you want to know more about Brazil4Linux see my answer to the third Question for Candidates on my RfA. Jedi6-(need help?) 03:11, 9 April 2006 (UTC)
- The only thing that I can agree with regarding this user is that he's arrogant. From what I can see, he's taking a simple edit disagreement FAR out of context and using it as en excuse to harass Jedi6. Not to mention his outlandish claims- he's already claimed to "to bring in reinforcements" in regards to edit conflicts, he claims to work in the industry AND now he's claiming to "be a professional at interrogation"? Give me a break. Wikipeedio, you already said your piece and placed your oppose vote, now quit harassing Jedi6 and move on. Furthermore, if you look at Wikipeedio's edit history, you find numerous examples of wiki violation (such as an edit where he matter of factly exclaims that Hillary Clinton is a "stupid dumb good for nothing", right on the Hillary Rhodam Clinton article. In other words, this user's actions speak for himself. Daniel Davis 03:08, 9 April 2006 (UTC)
Wikipeedio, I'll say it again: the page was protected because several Brazil4Linux sockpuppets were editing the page. It's not about the actual edits; it's about the fact that sockpuppets were used to circumvent blocks. Hence protection. In that way, Jedi6 looks BETTER because of this issue, not worse. Please see: Wikipedia:Sockpuppet#Circumventing policy. — Deckiller 04:21, 9 April 2006 (UTC)
I called Hillary Clinton a "Stupid Dumb good for nothing" on her discussion page, not on the article. That's why they are called discussion pages. And fine, I'll admit, Im going overboard with Jedi6, and apologize for overdoing it. However, I am involved in, and also do work in, the video game industry. I havent worked on any on the market games, but I have done some online ones and I may get some friends and produce an MMORPG. About the interrogation thing, I'm not technically a "professional", but I'm just good at it because of my personality. Wikipeedio 02:24, 10 April 2006 (UTC)
- WP:NOT a discussion forum/soapbox. Also, in that policies, it says that talkpages are for article-related discussions only. — Deckiller 22:15, 10 April 2006 (UTC)
- OK, fine. Must this go on forever? I'm done with interrogating Jedi6, and I have now for the first time (and I know I should have done this earlier) read the entire "What Wikipedia is not" page. I suggest that we stop with this. And if Jedi6 wants my fair vote, I'll go and change my vote to support right after I post this. Wikipeedio 23:03, 10 April 2006 (UTC). NOTE: Any further continuation of this subject I will treat as, uh, I think the word is trolling or something. I am sorry, but I no longer have the time to continue this. When I create my archives this conversation will be moved there immediately.

- Its okay (please don't take this as trolling :-O) Jedi6-(need help?) 23:15, 10 April 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Updating your Userpage
Hi there, I saw on Essjay's talk page you were looking to find out how to add the traffic lights to your userpage. If you still need a hand doing it I can show you how, and also point you in the direction of a lot of other very useful Wikipedia tools. I see on your userpage that you've put number of edits as unknown. Have you come across Interiot's Tool? It gives your current number of edits as 58. If you need a hand with anything Wikipedia related I'm happy to help. One area you may want to get involved in is vandalism patrolling and reversion, I can give you a few tips in that if you would like, or if you have anything else: happy to help. Have fun! --Wisden17 22:37, 10 April 2006 (UTC)
- Hi, yeah it is amazing all the add-ons etc. that are avaiable in Wikipedia. One thing you might like to try is copying the contents of my monobook.js and monobook.css. See what you think of the changes this makes! It will 'install'a number of the best tool on Wikipedia. To set up your traffic lights you will then need to create a few more pages, namely a Statustemplate page, again check out mine and you can see the best way to do it. If you need a hand just drop me a message on my talk page and I'll explain in a bit more detail. --Wisden17 01:28, 11 April 2006 (UTC)
[edit] User blocked
The IP address has been taken care of. — Deckiller 19:24, 18 April 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Place to report users
Try WP:AIV. That's where us admins check periodically for reported abusive users. Thanks for the heads up on that IP, I'll warn/block him accordingly. — Deckiller 03:12, 21 April 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Re: Need for Speed Most Wanted soundtrack
Copying the section to Wikibooks may be good enough for now. The section is still pretty encyclopedic and useful in directing to information of each musical artists. There is also no apparent objection to the soundtrack sections in Half-Life and Half-Life 2, as well as those in the Grand Theft Auto series. Thanks for understanding. ╫ 25 ◀RingADing▶ 19:43, 25 April 2006 (UTC) ╫
