You're correct, I missed the "speedy keep" notice on top of the talk section, and concede the issue. However, in the future, please refrain from personal attacks, such as the comment regarding my "misguided antivandalisim attempt" (sic) on my talk page. Rubicon | Talk 07:32, 27 October 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Image source problem with Image:W eagle.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:W eagle.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, their copyright should also be acknowledged.
As well as adding the source, please add a proper copyright licensing tag if the file doesn't have one already. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.
If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 06:34, 28 October 2007 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. [edit] Orphaned non-free media (Image:W eagle.jpg)
Thanks for uploading Image:W eagle.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BetacommandBot 13:25, 28 October 2007 (UTC)

[edit] November 2007
Welcome to Wikipedia. Everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia. However, adding content without citing a reliable source, as you did to Digg, is not consistent with our policy of verifiability. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. If you are already familiar with Wikipedia:Citing sources please take this opportunity to add your original reference to the article. Thank you. Gscshoyru 04:23, 3 November 2007 (UTC)
- Also, as per your edit summary -- please read WP:NPA. Thanks!! Gscshoyru 04:27, 3 November 2007 (UTC)

- Ignoring the fact that digg doesn't count as a reliable source, and that you're not sourcing statements such "seriously damaged its credibility"... how exactly is it more notable than any other hoax? Gscshoyru 19:06, 13 November 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Digg
Um, I would think that digg would be a reliable source for events pertaining to digg. And as far as notability? I assumed that the actual size and scope of the hoax, not to mention the importance of the hoax's subject, would make it notable. Wikilost 00:34, 14 November 2007 (UTC)
- No, digg is really not a reliable source, even about itself. See WP:RS and WP:V. And I still don't see how it's notable beyond any other hoax on digg... you need outside sources to show notability. Gscshoyru 02:26, 14 November 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Brothers
- On your user page, you mention that being a positive contributor to Wikipedia "is made harder by [your] brother, who feels an intense need to vandalize Wikipedia." My only understanding of this statement is that you and he share the Wiki account. Not only is this discouraged (disallowed?) by Wikipedia standards, it is problematic for you as a non-vandal. Might I suggest either locking your brother out of this account (change the password and make him register a new name all his own) or register a new name for yourself and leave this one, with a history of less-than-constructive edits, to him. This is just a suggestion, but I think it would solve your concern of being a recovered WikiVandal but having to deal with a brother who isn't recovered (yet). Best of luck either way! VigilancePrime (talk) 00:32, 6 December 2007 (UTC)
- I see the sockpuppet issue. I'm wondering if there's a way to take that into account and note it for future reference. If I understand you correctly, you exclusively use this ID and your brother either a different one or anonymous as an IP? There has to be a solution that can make life easier for all concerned (well, maybe not easier for your brother until he "reforms" as well). Perhaps asking at the Helpdesk; surely you're not the first person to have come across this problem. Best of luck in the future! VigilancePrime (talk) 01:21, 6 December 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Speedy deletion of Ton of shit
Please refrain from introducing inappropriate pages such as Ton of shit, to Wikipedia. Doing so is not in accordance with our policies. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}}
to the top of the page (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the article's talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. —Noah 18:09, 12 January 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Truxedo
- Someone speedy-delete-tagged your page Truxedo. Anthony Appleyard (talk) 08:48, 13 January 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Truxedo
A proposed deletion template has been added to the article Truxedo, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}}
notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page. Also, please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. If you agree with the deletion of the article, and you are the only person who has made substantial edits to the page, please add {{db-author}}
to the top of Truxedo. Cenarium (talk) 12:41, 15 January 2008 (UTC)
[edit] AfD nomination of Truxedo
An editor has nominated Truxedo, an article on which you have worked or that you created, for deletion. We appreciate your contributions, but the nominator doesn't believe that the article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion and has explained why in his/her nomination (see also "What Wikipedia is not").
Your opinions on whether the article meets inclusion criteria and what should be done with the article are welcome; please participate in the discussion by adding your comments at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Truxedo and please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~).
You may also edit the article during the discussion to improve it but should not remove the articles for deletion template from the top of the article; such removal will not end the deletion debate. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 16:14, 18 January 2008 (UTC)
- Hi, it seems that nobody is interested in the afd nomination for Truxedo, so someone will close the afd nomination with a no consensus. But we can't, it's the policy of Wikipedia. Regards, -- Cenarium (talk) 01:35, 27 January 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Fair use rationale for Image:Policeatlanta.jpg
Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:Policeatlanta.jpg. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia constitutes fair use. Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.
If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Polly (Parrot) 23:07, 16 March 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Image copyright problem with Image:Policeatlanta.jpg
Thank you for uploading Image:Policeatlanta.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the image. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.
If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. Polly (Parrot) 23:07, 16 March 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Atlanta police image
Is that your own photo that you have posted? The name of Flickr differs significantly from yours and it therefore isn't clear if it was your own image. The author of the photo on Flickr also has it copyrighted and has all rights reserved. I will replace it with a video (which I believe serves more context than just a photo anyway) which is confirmed to be in the public domain by the author. Hello32020 (talk) 22:22, 17 March 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Copyright problems with Image:Policeatlanta.jpg
An image that you uploaded, Image:Policeatlanta.jpg, has been listed at Wikipedia:Copyright problems because it is a suspected copyright violation. Please look there if you know that the image is legally usable on Wikipedia (you may have to search for the title of the image to find its entry), and then provide the necessary information there and on its page, if you are interested in it not being deleted.
