[edit] Image Tagging Image:Tehran-night1.JPG

Thanks for uploading Image:Tehran-night1.JPG. I notice the image page currently doesn't specify who created the image, so the copyright status is therefore unclear. If you have not created the image yourself then you need to argue that we have the right to use the image on Wikipedia (see copyright tagging below). If you have not created the image yourself then you should also specify where you found it, i.e., in most cases link to the website where you got it, and the terms of use for content from that page.

If the image also doesn't have a copyright tag then you must also add one. If you created/took the picture then you can use {{gfdl}} to release it under the GFDL. If you can claim fair use use {{fairuse}}. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other images, please check that you have specified their source and copyright tagged them, too. You can find a list of image pages you have edited by going to "Your contributions" from your user page and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any unsourced and untagged images will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thanks so much. --Elwood00 T | C 04:24, 21 November 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Image:03-08-02-2312-nc-iran-tehran-city-park-taleqani-0640.jpg has been listed as a possible copyright violation

An image that you uploaded, Image:03-08-02-2312-nc-iran-tehran-city-park-taleqani-0640.jpg, has been listed at Wikipedia:Copyright problems because it is a suspected copyright violation. Please look there if you know that the image is legally usable on Wikipedia (you may have to search for the title of the image to find its entry), and then provide the necessary information there and on its page, if you are interested in it not being deleted. Thank you.

Warning sign
This image may be deleted.

Thanks for uploading Image:926258_20050316_screen002.jpg. I notice the image page currently doesn't specify who created the image, so the copyright status is therefore unclear. If you believe the image qualifies as fair use, please read fair use, and then use a tag such as {{Non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair_use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other images, please check that you have specified their source and copyright tagged them, too. [edit] Image Tagging Image:120px-GripShift screenshot.jpg

Warning sign
This media may be deleted.

Thanks for uploading Image:120px-GripShift screenshot.jpg. I notice the 'image' page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you have not created this media yourself then there needs to be an argument why we have the right to use the media on Wikipedia (see copyright tagging below). If you have not created the media yourself then it needs to be specified where it was found, i.e., in most cases link to the website where it was taken from, and the terms of use for content from that page.

If the media also doesn't have a copyright tag then one should be added. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media qualifies as fair use, consider reading fair use, and then use a tag such as {{Non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair_use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other media, consider checking that you have specified their source and copyright tagged them, too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any unsourced and untagged images will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Image legality questions page. Thank you. Shyam (T/C) 19:56, 2 April 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Image:Hills south west of Sanandaj near the village of Kilaneh.jpg

Hello; Image:Hills south west of Sanandaj near the village of Kilaneh.jpg is up for delisting on FPC nomination page. [2] Please give us your opinion, or try to solve the problem the majority have with the picture. I think it deserves to stay FP. Thank you. ;-) --Arad 19:53, 1 December 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Birth rates in Europe

Hello. I saw your edit in the demographics section of Europe, just before two sentences which I recently had to correct (they were ungrammatical). Although I am not an expert, I did find out quite easily that, according to the Brookings Institute in Turkey New York, the birth rate amongst muslims was up to three times higher than the mean in Europe in 2003. It's probably advisable to make systematic verifications before dismissing claims like this, particularly if they seem unexpected. If you can find more up-to-date data, please substitute them. --Mathsci 00:56, 26 August 2007 (UTC)

It is odd that this "fact" is mentioned in a subsection of Europe but in neither of the two more detailed articles on demographics in Europe and the European Union. --Mathsci 09:13, 26 August 2007 (UTC)

[edit] License tagging for Image:Percent poverty world mapnew.png

Thanks for uploading Image:Percent poverty world mapnew.png. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information; to add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia.

For help in choosing the correct tag, or for any other questions, leave a message on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you for your cooperation. --ImageTaggingBot (talk) 23:05, 3 February 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Image copyright problem with Image:Image-Percent poverty world mapnew.png

Image Copyright problem

Thank you for uploading Image:Image-Percent poverty world mapnew.png. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the image. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. STBotI (talk) 23:10, 3 February 2008 (UTC)
