Please do not add inappropriate external links to Wikipedia. Wikipedia is not a mere directory of links nor should it be used for advertising or promotion. Inappropriate links include (but are not limited to) links to personal web sites, links to web sites with which you are affiliated, and links that exist to attract visitors to a web site or promote a product. See the external links guideline and spam policies for further explanations of links that are considered appropriate. If you feel the link should be added to the article, then please discuss it on the article's talk page rather than re-adding it. See the welcome page to learn more about Wikipedia. Thank you. - Trysha (talk) 21:07, 24 November 2006 (UTC)

Please stop adding inappropriate external links to Wikipedia, as you did in Dog. It is considered spamming, and Wikipedia is not a vehicle for advertising. Thanks. - Trysha (talk) 01:10, 11 December 2006 (UTC)

Please stop. If you continue spamming, as you did in Dog, you will be blocked from editing. ¤~Persian Poet Gal (talk) 01:53, 11 December 2006 (UTC)

[edit] About Dogup.com

Because it is a non-notable fansite and they are often considered inappropriate links to add to the articles like Dogs according to WP:LINKS. Please discontinue readding it, thank you.¤~Persian Poet Gal (talk) 02:03, 11 December 2006 (UTC)

It makes no difference the amount of pages it has, Wikipedia is not a repository of links. And also if you notice, other editors agreed that this fansite is not considered notable enough to add to the article.¤~Persian Poet Gal (talk) 02:39, 11 December 2006 (UTC)

Sure no problem, but understand that the reason why this may also be not included is because the addition of this link is as if the article promotes that website. Wikipedia is not made up of advert links which do not add on relevantly to the article. For example, the Food article on Wikipedia includes a few links to websites which are notable and relevant to the article. Notice however that it does not include other popular websites like Epicurious.com whose Alexa rank is way higher than Dogup.com's Alexa rank. Hope this helps.¤~Persian Poet Gal (talk) 03:08, 11 December 2006 (UTC)

I again appreciate your very polite approach but even that link is suscetible to being considered inappropriate. I think just avoid adding the Dogup.com link for now. As a editer it is generally encouraged to avoid link only contributions. I'm sure you will add on to articles with very good information in the future rather than just links.
