[edit] Welcome
Welcome to Wikipedia. To find out how to make useful contributions, take a look at the welcome page. To stay in Wikipedia, an article has to be about something notable, that is, of general interest. Click on Notability for an explanation of what that means, and on Notability (people) for more detail. Also, it must give independently verifiable sources and be written from a neutral point of view and not in a promotional manner. Articles that don't meet these requirements are likely to be deleted. Follow the links below to learn more:
- To find out more about creating articles, read the Introduction and the guide to creating Your first article.
- You should not write articles about yourself, your band, or your best friend - that's a conflict of interest.
- Wikipedia is not an advertising service. Before writing about your own business, read Business' FAQ.
- For experiments, please use the sandbox.

[edit] Doreen Rosenstrauch
You may be the same person as DrDoRo (talk ยท contribs) who put the same article in as DrDoRo, but in case you are not I repeat the Welcome paragraph above. If you are, please be aware that use of more than one account by the same user is something that should be done with caution to avoid suspicions of "sockpuppetry" - click that link for more informtion.
For suggestions on making the style of the article more appropriate for an encyclopedia, I suggest you look at some existing biographical articles - the Lists of scientists will give you plenty. Also read the Guide to creating your first article and Wikipedia's Manual of Style, and guidelines on neutral point of view and "peacock terms". One particular suggestion would be to remove references which are simply websites of institutions with which Dr Rosenstrauch is associated, but which do not actually mention her. The presence of those may have helped give rise to initial suspicions of a hoax, as hoax biographies are often liberally supplied with such references. The question of notability is dependent on references from independent sources. JohnCD (talk) 11:57, 29 April 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Image copyright problem with Image:Doro.gif
Thanks for uploading Image:Doro.gif. The image has been identified as not specifying the copyright status of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. If you don't indicate the copyright status of the image on the image's description page, using an appropriate copyright tag, it may be deleted some time in the next seven days. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided copyright information for them as well.
For more information on using images, see the following pages:
This is an automated notice by STBotI. For assistance on the image use policy, see Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. STBotI (talk) 15:58, 3 May 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Article tags
Well I think they are fairly self explanatory. The first one suggests that the article; is not written by a neutral party - as the text says. And so forth. The blue words in the tags are links to places that explain the concepts in greater detail. Note that SmackBot did not add these tags, merely dated them. Rich Farmbrough, 18:23 8 May 2008 (GMT).
- The tags should not be removed until the concerns are addressed. This article is close to violating policy, and the tags indicate that rather than just delete this article, a team of editors will fix the problems. JackSchmidt (talk) 17:44, 9 May 2008 (UTC)
- Thanks! Your recent edits are definitely helping the article. The spanish language reference definitely supports the idea that she is an inspiration to triatheletes, but does not mention her art as far as I could tell. This reference is probably better in the section on athletics.
- In case your native language is German, Spanish, or Swahili: I should mention that none of de:Doreen Rosenstrauch, es:Doreen Rosenstrauch, nor sw:Doreen Rosenstrauch have been created. It would be perfectly reasonable to work on one of those articles (especially if it is a more comfortable language than English), and then request translation. She seems to have important aspects of her life in Germany, in Spanish speaking Texas, and in (presumably?) Swahili speaking Tanzania. Of course, if English is your preferred language, then keep editing here, as the article is getting much closer to a good state here. JackSchmidt (talk) 16:24, 12 May 2008 (UTC)
