[edit] Coords

Looks like you got em - top right hand corner - is that what you were after? SatuSuro 23:33, 18 February 2008 (UTC)

heheh OIC and others here have each other on watch/neighbourhood watch wikipedia style - sometimes we solve problems quicker than we can think :) SatuSuro 13:01, 19 February 2008 (UTC)
Hi Ian. I saw your comment on Satusuro's page, for the same reason as above, and wanted to make a comment. I know it was an innocent statement, but the mere mention of 'alternate accounts' can potentially lead to disruption when read by others. Perhaps I am overreacting, but you might appreciate that misunderstandings can arise in this way. Hope you don't mind me making this point, cheers. cygnis insignis 11:40, 23 February 2008 (UTC)
No worries and no foul, just some food for thought. More read than write on talk pages, I tend to forget this meself. I like your 're: subject' notation, very cool and useful. I might start using that. Cheers, cygnis insignis 12:54, 23 February 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Re: Verifiability

Re: User talk:Black Falcon#Verifiability

No worries, and I'm glad you found the template you wanted. Cheers, Black Falcon (Talk) 06:43, 22 February 2008 (UTC)

[edit] References

Hi Ian, I remembered there was a Mercury article or two, so I just searched "mercury tasman bridge crane" in google - first hit :) -- Chuq (talk) 07:05, 22 February 2008 (UTC)

Note I am not a google searcher - and usually try library cats - youd be suprised what they come up with that oggle dosnt even touch :( - impressed by template,

however in perth we tried to limit what is really a landmark - its interesting what you have got there - well done for the effort but as for things that dont fit - garn put it into entertainment or something like that :) SatuSuro 11:20, 26 February 2008 (UTC)

apologies - havent followed the sydney one - but i bet there is no consistency of criteria between capital cities :(. I was commenting about your edit summary about taking something out because you didnt know where to put it - one problem with a tight' template like that - sorry about always being so obtuse - dont ever let me start about the lack of info about hobart trams and trains - then ill get really obscure :| - dont worry about the contents - its started - looks good and is line with sydney - good stuff - keep up the hard work - youre doing great! [edit] Flag question

The code you require to add a flag (or any image for that matter) to your userpage header area, as I've done for my own userpage, is below...

<div style="position:absolute; right:13px; top:5px;">[[Image:Flag of Australia.svg|80px|none]]</div>

Just cut and paste the code above into the page you'd like the flag to appear on. Of course, tweaks can be performed, such as changing the image that is displayed, and the size of the image. I'll leave the fun of tinkering with those up to yourself... Let me know if you need any further advice. Cheers. -- Longhair\talk 12:16, 26 February 2008 (UTC)

[edit] First

Id create either a stub for tasports or a redirect, as well as top gun - redlinks dont help. Also the commercial outlets list is a bit dubious - perhaps make a double column? thats a start SatuSuro 08:10, 27 February 2008 (UTC)

I usually reverse engineer - find an article you know that has - and try to emulate the coding :( - im not good at working out what part of the maze has instructions SatuSuro 10:08, 27 February 2008 (UTC)
I think its location is not very clear to the geographically challenged - I would suggest a heading and a rather obvious context of stating it s to the east of the river, and even if it is obvious to a local - somehow a few more words about its location and physical aspect would be worth it - is it near water? is it near mountains(i am thinking of overseas readers) is the landing or takeoff path over water? - it might be there in the article - but is suspect it should be in the intro (brings back memories of flying between hobart and queenstown (yes it did have a working airstrip in the past) a v long time ago) SatuSuro 10:17, 27 February 2008 (UTC)

I like it - i hope others do too - any chances of a map of the area/region ?SatuSuro 11:40, 27 February 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Columns

Columns? I assume you're referring to tables? Try Help:Table. -- Longhair\talk 10:18, 27 February 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Hobart suburbs

It is tricky... it depends a lot on what you mean by "Hobart". There are four "official" meanings, as well as a "commonly accepted" meaning, as detailed at Talk:Hobart#The_four_Hobarts. It depends which one we want to use, I guess? -- Chuq (talk) 03:30, 5 March 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Virgin flights to Hobart

Hi WikiIan. I heard about the flights from a verifiable source who'd prefer not to be named. The same person told me about the Albury and Port Macquarie flihts before they were launched also. I know this isn't "official" as such, but it's pretty close. Tuddy —Preceding comment was added at 22:40, 7 March 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Disputed fair use rationale for Image:Metal & hair.jpg

Thank you for uploading Image:Metal & hair.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale provided for using this image under "fair use" may not meet the criteria required by Wikipedia:Non-free content. This can be corrected by going to the image description page and add or clarify the reason why the image qualifies for fair use. Adding and completing one of the templates available from Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy. Please be aware that a fair use rationale is not the same as an image copyright tag; descriptions for images used under the fair use policy require both a copyright tag and a fair use rationale.

If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it might be deleted by adminstrator within a few days in accordance with our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions, please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot (talk) 16:25, 8 March 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Batman Highway

This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of Batman Highway, and it appears to include a substantial copy of http://www.ozroads.com.au/TAS/routenumbering/current/B73/b73.htm. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material; such additions will be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences.

This message was placed automatically, and it is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article and it would be appreciated if you could drop a note on the maintainer's talk page. CorenSearchBot (talk) 04:11, 24 March 2008 (UTC)

Excellent - thank you - it is very good - you ready for a whole spate of west coast roads? (i havent found a good template yet -computer cabling is being updated - off for a while) (btw trust you still have a roof and electricity :| SatuSuro 05:27, 3 April 2008 (UTC)

Nah checked the west oz ones - it seem more time has been spent doing things about the boxes on the rhs rather than a template - maybe we just leave it at that for the moment SatuSuro 05:52, 3 April 2008 (UTC)
