[edit] License tagging for Image:Ef234.jpg=

Thanks for uploading Image:Ef234.jpg. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you need help on selecting a tag to use, or in adding the tag to the image description, feel free to post a message at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 20:05, 2 June 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Notability of Abels developments

A tag has been placed on Abels developments, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article appears to be about a person, group of people, band, club, company, or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not assert the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think that you can assert the notability of the subject, you may contest the deletion. To do this, add {{hangon}} on the top of the page (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag) and leave a note on the article's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm the subject's notability under Wikipedia guidelines.

For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Realkyhick 20:11, 15 June 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Commercial use of Image:Abels Developments.jpg

Hello, this is a message from an automated bot. A tag has been placed on Image:Abels Developments.jpg, by another Wikipedia user, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. The tag claims that it should be speedily deleted because Image:Abels Developments.jpg is an image licensed as "for non-commercial use only" or "used with permission for use on Wikipedia only" which was either uploaded on or after 2005-05-19 or is not used in any articles (CSD I3).

If you created this media file and want to use it on Wikipedia, you may re-upload it (or amend the image description if it has not yet been deleted) and use the license {{GFDL-self}} to license it under the GFDL, or {{cc-by-sa-2.5}} to license it under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike license, or use {{PD-self}} to release it into the public domain.

If you did not create this media file but want to use it on Wikipedia, there are two ways to proceed. First, you may choose one of the fair use tags from this list if you believe one of those fair use rationales applies to this file. Second, you may want to contact the copyright holder and request that they make the media available under a free license.

If the article has already been deleted, see the advice and instructions at WP:WMD. This bot is only informing you of the nomination for speedy deletion, it did not nominate Image:Abels Developments.jpg itself. Feel free to leave a message on the bot operator's talk page if you have any questions about this or any problems with this bot. If you have any questions about what to do next or why your image was nominated for speedy deletion please ask at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thanks. --Android Mouse Bot 2 20:23, 15 June 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Abels Developments

In line with your request, I removed my speedy-delete tag and replaced with an {{underconstruction}} tag. Remove it when you are done, and take as long as you need. I disagree that all new articles start out bad and move up to featured article status. Most don't go anywhere at all, especially those that simply seem to be promoting a particular business or person. This article seemed to be doing so in its initial version. You have moved away from that now, but it is still borderline as far as notability. The company appears to be a small business that has not done anything in particular to stand out amongst others, from what I see so far. That may not be the case, but it is up to you to show that. In particular, you need a source or two from a third-party reliable source, such as a newspaper or magazine. Get those and you should be in the clear. And don't forget to be specific as to the locale, and to such things as the NHBC - I'm from the States, and that acronym means nothing to me. Give us some context. [edit] Problem

Image:IE7 Optimised.JPG can't be licensed under the GFDL as it has a copyrighted logo (The IE "E") in it, it will have to be deleted. 68.39.174.238 17:28, 17 July 2007 (UTC)

hmmm that is a good point however the image itself is within another image and so it is not the actual image and so therefore has no copyright. Wiki.user 20:08, 21 July 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Disputed fair use rationale for Image:Ef234.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:Ef234.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 09:51, 27 October 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Abel Developments

I have read the article you created on this company. Firstly, the company has changed its name, according to their website: [1]. Secondly, I cannot find much to say that this company is notable as per Wikipedia requirements - their website does not make any reference to their having won an award, for example, as the article states. Could you provide a source for a) their notability and b) that they have won an award, Daily Express or other? Many thanks. AlasdairGreen27 (talk) 14:14, 14 January 2008 (UTC)

[edit] AfD nomination of Abel Developments

An editor has nominated Abel Developments, an article on which you have worked or that you created, for deletion. We appreciate your contributions, but the nominator doesn't believe that the article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion and has explained why in his/her nomination (see also "What Wikipedia is not").

Your opinions on whether the article meets inclusion criteria and what should be done with the article are welcome; please participate in the discussion by adding your comments at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Abel Developments and please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~).

You may also edit the article during the discussion to improve it but should not remove the articles for deletion template from the top of the article; such removal will not end the deletion debate. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 15:01, 9 March 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Orphaned non-free media (Image:Abels Developments.jpg)

Thanks for uploading Image:Abels Developments.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 12:02, 16 March 2008 (UTC)
