[edit] WikiNewbie's Story

WikiNewbie is an incredibly smart 7th grader, who was taught about the concept of wiki by his Super-Fabuloso Comuter Science Teacher. After seeing all the troubles of the world, such as vandalism, murder, and corruption, he found it absolutely facinating to learn that there was a piece of the world, that was still shaped like a community. He believes it is truly amazing, that there is still a community of people, who will spend their own time to help others. Between not getting paid and solving vandalism, these people do it for nothing. and he thought: "Why not be one of them?"

[edit] And the WikiNewbie Has been Born!!!

The seventh grader learned what he could of the wiki world, learning it's purpose, and the 'rules'. with each word that entered his maturing brain, he became more and more interested. at last, he had learned the basics, and logged on to what he thought was the most interesting and easy Wiki server. He was facinated by the miniscule information needed to become a member, unlike other sites, where you must give out anything and everything from your name, to your social security number. In no time, the newest user of Wikipedia bas born...WIKINEWBIE!!!

[edit] The orgin of 'WikiNewbie'

It is rather obvious where the first part of the seventh grader's name came from: Wiki, but the second part adds some meaning. the term Newbie is slang for a newcomer, or a new person. the term is often used over the internet. Newbie is also abreviated in ways such as newb, noob, or n00b (using zeros instead of o's. WikiNewbie knows that if he continues his usage of the wiki, he will no longer be a 'noob', but to him, continuating the name has a sense of meaning.

[edit] He Needs Your Help

Although WikiNewbie learned what He could, he is not like other users. He is not as smart as other users. He spends his time Writing about the little topics he knows about, and then goes around and edits other pages. He knows little about computer special effects.

Please--Do what you can to help him out. He is learning what belongs in an article, and what does not. So if you are reading this, please take a little bit out of your time in order to help him out. For faster communication, you can reach him by e-mail at Sloppyjoe713@yahoo.com.

Thank you.
