[edit] Can we have variants of this?

"has original text from the King James Version of the Bible" is a bit strange when it's really the entire text (should read "has the complete text"). And "has original text from the Iliad" is sadly misleading, since it's not the original text at all (should read "has an English translation of") dab 21:35, 11 Oct 2004 (UTC)

Thank you! A rather lively discussion on just that subject has been taking place in Wikipedia talk:Sister projects#Modification to the Wikisource Templates between me and User:Netoholic (who hasn't replied in several days; I'll drop him a note), and yours might be the vote that breaks the deadlock (in my favor). Try to read through the discussion (which is a bit long, I admit) to get a fill of things. -- Itai 21:52, 11 Oct 2004 (UTC)

[edit] templates in chinese

Hi, I have no ideas of where are Chinese version of templates and how it works. But what's sure is that they should be adapted because they display some things in italics and that not nice. Check http://zh.wikipedia.org/wiki/%E8%92%B2%E6%9D%BE%E9%BE%84 for example. The title of the book in wikisource box should not be italicised, but like this : 《聊斋志异》, as shown in the article itself. I know that touching templates is not a good idea for the one who don't know well how it works, so I ask for a little help to check this out. gbog July 2, 2005 02:58 (UTC)

[edit] Linking to something other than article title

Hi, i wonder if it's possible to link to a Wikisource article which does not have the same title as the Wikipedia article. For example, The Boy Who Cried Wolf is listed under Aesop's Fables in Wikisource (as The Shepherd's Boy and the Wolf). So is it possible to link directly to it using a modification of the Wikisource template? --Plastictv 3 July 2005 06:23 (UTC)

Yes -- use Template:Wikisource3 which allows two arguments: display name and link. Cleduc 18:58, 10 July 2005 (UTC)

[edit] subdomain split

how to link to other subdomains? The split broke lots of my links, such as the one on 3227a. dab () 15:48, 10 September 2005 (UTC)

Apparently, using de:article_title as the argument of this template works (there is a redirection that is internal to the server, I assume). - Liberatore(T) 14:48, 12 January 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Yet another...

{{wikisource4}} has three optional arguments for linking to a page different to the article title, and to specify what this page is about and what it relates to. The third argument can be useful when the wikisource page is related to something more specific that the whole wikipedia article. - Liberatore(T) 14:23, 12 January 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Other language links

There needs to be a template that will let you link to a specific language edition of Wikisource, so you can specific the language, and the title of the file, and the name of the article, and it will create the link. — 0918BRIAN • 2006-03-24 22:10

[edit] New logo

Image:Wikisource-nt.png
The new Wikisource logo.

Just making everyone aware: there is a new Wikisource logo, Image:Wikisource-nt.png. Very stylish, I think! Anyway, I've updated the template. - Ta bu shi da yu 15:17, 27 May 2006 (UTC)

[edit] interwiki image

I'm sorry if I'm at the wrong place, but I've tried elsewhere. Is there any way to insert an image here (the english wikipedia) from wikisource when their's already an image on the english wikipedia of the same name. Using this template creates a link to the correct image, but doesn't actually insert it. Vicarious 08:30, 24 October 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Extra parameter

I propose adding an extra parameter to allow a comment to be displayed under the link, using the following syntax (right at the end of the outermost <div>):

{{#if:{{{3<includeonly>|</includeonly>}}}|<div style="clear:left">{{{3}}}</div>}}

This would make this tidier and more explicit. Any thoughts or objections? HTH HAND —Phil | Talk 21:21, 4 February 2007 (UTC)

[edit] template image broken?

Is it just my browser? I just added a wikisource template to Stylidium calcaratum and the svg image disappeared from the template. Tried purging, checking links, etc. Anyone else having this problem? --Rkitko (talk) 03:30, 15 September 2007 (UTC)

Alright, nevermind. It's back, but I'm still perplexed. Ah well. --Rkitko (talk) 03:32, 15 September 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Is there a way to put multiple works in one template?

Specifically for the links at the bottom of California State Route 120. --NE2 06:37, 13 November 2007 (UTC)

[edit] mk Wikisource

Can somebody please add the interwiki to the template for the Macedonian language Wikisource mk:Шаблон:Викиизвор. Thank you. --B. Jankuloski (talk) 23:47, 29 February 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Linking to three pages on wikisource

If I understand this right, the wikisource template can take 2 parameters and link to two pages on wikisource that relate to an article here on wikipedia. But what if you need to link to three wikisource pages? This is the puzzle over at Nootka Convention. There were three Nootka Convention treaties, each with a page at wikisource. I just used the wikisource template three times, but this seems less than ideal. Is there a better way? Thanks. Pfly (talk) 04:56, 14 May 2008 (UTC)
