[edit] Updated template - 23 Jan 05

I've updated this template to include some info about the project, and start to group info together. In populating the lists, I used what came to mind as obviously gender-related, what linked to the template, and for "people" I put bell hooks, because I know she writes a lot about gender and race. There should be others, though not every feminist should go on that list! AnAn 03:18, 23 January 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Reducing the size of the template

A comment was left at Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Gender Studies#Template suggesting that the size of this template be reduced, so that it doesn't overwhelm talk pages where it is left. Wikipedia:WikiProject Council/Guide#Recruiting details some suggestions for this type of a template. I think it should be reduced because the collection of links better suits the Project page, or ideally a Portal page, rather than a template designed to advertise the project and bring in new participants. I'd welcome comments on this, and will proceed soon with some changes if there isn't disagreement. Kurieeto 02:26, 25 November 2006 (UTC)

[edit] New Vesion Added

I've replaced this box with a more standard message box. It's still purple though. If members think the standard apricot or white boxes are better alter as is your taste. Comments are also on the Project Talk Page: )--Cailil 16:06, 19 January 2007 (UTC)

[edit] "Systematic"

Seems an unnecessarily POV qualifier. Did the editor mean "systemic"? Shouldn't "removing gender bias" be clear enough? -Yamara 21:03, 1 June 2008 (UTC)
