[edit] Usage
The {{WikiProject Baronetcies}} project banner template should be added (not subst:ed) to the talk page of every article within the scope of the project. While the template does not require any additional parameters, it has a number of optional ones that add various extra features to the banner. The full syntax is as follows:
[edit] Syntax
{{WikiProject Baronetcies |class= |auto= |portal= |imageneeded= |imagedetails= |attention= |A-Class= |peer-review= |old-peer-review= |collaboration-candidate= |past-collaboration= |infoboxneeded= }}
[edit] Use in practice
{{WikiProject Baronetcies |class=A <!-- FA, A, GA, B, Start, Stub, NA, Needed or List--> |auto=yes <!-- I.e. only use this if 1) you're operating a bot and --> <!-- 2) rating articles as "stub-class" based --> <!-- solely on the presence of a stub template. --> |portal=May 2006 <!-- (FA only). The month it was featured on the portal --> |imageneeded=yes <!-- Please only use lowercase. --> |imagedetails=An image of the war flag <!-- Only works is you answered "yes" before. --> |attention=yes <!-- Immediate attention required. Needed by some bots. --> |A-Class=pass <!-- Pass, fail or current [nominee]. Can be used --> <!-- if an A-Class review is implemented --> |peer-review=yes <!-- Need more input on your article? --> <!-- Ask others to comment on it --> |old-peer-review=yes <!-- If this procedure has already taken place --> |collaboration-candidate=yes <!-- If we create a collaboration of the fortnight system --> |past-collaboration=September 2006 <!-- The month this took place --> |infoboxneeded=yes <!-- Self explanatory. One of the bots likes this one. --> }}
General parameters:
- class – a rating of the article's quality; see Wikipedia:WikiProject Baronetcies/Assessment for more details. Valid values are:
- FA - The article has reached Featured article status.
- A - Could be submitted as a Featured article candidate; probably could use some small updates to make it Featured quality.
- GA - The article has reached Good article status.
- B - Could be submitted as a Good article nominee; probably could use some updates or may lack some features from the Good article criteria, but it presents a good overview of the subject.
- Start - The article is more than a stub, but may lack some important aspects of the topic's discussion.
- Stub - The article is a stub; it likely contains one of the baronetcy stub templates.
- NA - The page is not an article and should not be rated; it could be a template, image or category, for example.
- Needed - The article does not yet exist but has been identified as a subject that should be covered.
- List - The article is a list or gallery of flags or coats of arms (or similar), probably with very little text.
Maintenance parameter (set it to "yes" to include it):
- imageneeded - The article needs an image (other than a map); adds articles to Category:Baroetcies articles needing images.
- imagedetails (appears only if imageneeded is set to yes) - Additional details to describe the image that is requested.
To avoid needlessly cluttering up talk pages, it is usually appropriate to remove any unused parameters from the template.
[edit] Notes
- Please use lowercase forms. E.g. imageneeded, imagedetails and yes. The uppercase forms generally do not work.
- A few redlink categories need fixing to get the Portal / Review functions working. The needed category tree can be seen under the WP:MILHIST project.
- Task forces are supported but this function has not been activated.
- The image request feature is listed "below the fold" when used. If people feel this is a problem, please let me know.
- Please report any other errors if you see them. Thanks! Kittybrewster 10:11, 18 November 2006 (UTC)
