[edit] Usage

This template adds articles to Category:WikiProject Yorkshire articles and categorizes them using assessment grades and importance through built-in transclusion. An article's assessment is generated from the class and importance parameters in the {{WikiProject Yorkshire |class= |importance=}} banner on its talk page. This template should be transcluded and not substituted (subst:) because it employs conditional code. Transclusion also allows easy updating of all the Project's talk pages without having to edit hundreds of pages.

To use this template, copy the following code and place it on an article talk page:

{{WikiProject Yorkshire |class= |importance= }}

The class and importance parameters are ratings of the article's quality and priority to the Project. See the assessment department for more details.

[edit] Other parameters

  • nested=yes — for use with {{WikiProjectBannerShell}}.
  • small=yes — makes the template small and along the right side of the page (as opposed to at the top).

This template employs intricate features of template syntax.
You are encouraged to familiarise yourself with its setup and parser functions before editing the template. If your edit causes unexpected problems, please undo it quickly, as this template may appear on a large number of pages.
