To add an article to the list, simply add the template to the talk page of the article with the following parameters:

• class: Options are FA, A, GA, B, Start, Stub, Dab, Template, Cat, NA. If blank, this will default as Unassessed. Descriptions of the options can be found at Wikipedia:Version 1.0 Editorial Team/Assessment. NA is "not applicable".
• importance: Options are Top, High, Mid, Low, NA. If blank, this will default as Unknown priority. NA is "not applicable". This is the importance within North Dakota articles according to this scale:

• attention: Answer yes if the page needs immediate attention, otherwise remove this line.
• needs-infobox: Answer yes if the article needs an infobox, otherwise remove this line.
• auto: This parameter is for the use of bots. It calls the {{stubclass}} template.
