[edit] Usage

The {{WikiProject Moldova}} project banner template should be added (not subst:ed) to the talk page of every article within the scope of the project. While the template does not require any additional parameters, it has a number of optional ones that add various extra features to the banner. The full syntax is as follows:

{{WikiProject Moldova
| small =
| nested =
| class =
| importance =
| attention =
| unref =
| mapneeded =
| mapdetails =
| imageneeded =
| imagedetails =
| needs-infobox =
| Chisinau =
| B-Class-1 =
| B-Class-2 =
| B-Class-3 =
| B-Class-4 =
| B-Class-5 =
| portal1-name =
| portal1-link =
| portal2-name =
| portal2-link =
| portal3-name =
| portal3-link =
| portal4-name =
| portal4-link =
| portal5-name =
| portal5-link =
}}

To avoid needlessly cluttering up talk pages, it is usually appropriate to remove any unused parameters from the template.

[edit] Template display formatting parameters

  • small – show the normal or reduced size template; shows the reduced size template if small=yes.
  • nested – "yes" if the banner is being used in conjunction with {{WikiProjectBannerShell}}.

[edit] B-Class checklist

This is available only for unrated articles and articles rated as "Stub-Class", "Start-Class", or "B-Class". See the assessment department for more details.

With any of these classes, the banner will automatically display directions on how to use these parameters.

For an article to qualify for B-class it must meet 5 points. Each one of these points has a corresponding banner variable. For each of these points, assign "yes" if the standards are met, and "no" if not. Leave blank if uncertain.

  • B-Class-1 – Is the article suitably referenced, and are all major points appropriately cited?
  • B-Class-2 – Does the article reasonably cover the topic, and not contain major omissions or inaccuracies?
  • B-Class-3 – Does the article have a defined structure, including a lead section and one or more sections of content?
  • B-Class-4 – Is the article free from major grammatical errors?
  • B-Class-5 – Does the article contain appropriate supporting materials, such as an infobox, images, or diagrams?

[edit] Project work parameters (set them to "yes" to include them)

[edit] Miscellaneous maintenance parameters (set them to "yes" to include them)

  • mapneeded - The article needs a map; adds articles to Category:Wikipedia requested maps in Moldova.
    • mapdetails (appears only if "mapneeded" is set to yes) - Additional details to specify the kind of map information that is needed.
  • imageneeded - The article needs an image (other than a map); adds articles to Category:Wikipedia requested photographs in Moldova.
    • imagedetails (appears only if imageneeded is set to yes) - Additional details to describe the image that is requested.
  • needs-infobox - The article needs an infobox; adds articles to Category:Moldova articles without infoboxes.

[edit] Subproject switches

  • Chisinau - Set to "yes" to assign the article to the Chisinau task force
  • Transport - Set to "yes" to assign the article to the WikiProject Moldova/Transportation

[edit] Portals

Up to five different portals may be specified, via the parameters portal1-name through portal5-name.

  • portalX-name – if the article has been selected for use on a portal, the name of that portal. The name should be given without any formatting or namespace prefixes.
  • portalX-link – the portal subpage location where the article may be found on the corresponding portal. This should be given as a pure unlinked subpage name.
  • For example, Andrei Stratan was featured on the Moldova portal during February 2007. Therefore the paramters would be "|portal1-name=Moldova|portal1-link=Selected article/2007/February".
