A close-up pencil drawing by Reventlow of the Great Dane depicted in the oil on canvass of the Crowning Ceremony of King Frederick IV of Denmark in the castle church of Frederiksborg Castle, Denmark 25th August 1699. The original painting was done by Bendix Grotschilling Junior 15th April 1706. The painting is tiny (29,7 x 81,7 cm) but done with great attention to detail applying the gouache technic. The painting can be seen at Rosenborg Castle, Copenhagen (inventory no. 8-23). The Great Dane is called "Sultan" and is the centerpiece of the painting standing right in front of the King.
