I don't really like association the EU flag with whole Europe. The EU is no more than a relatively young international organisation running on a part of the territory of Europe. Even its citizens are more or less willing to identify with it. There should be something more neutral like the shape of the (sub)continent. Zbihniew 13:30, 25 November 2006 (UTC)

The flag isn't only associated with the EU though. In fact, it was originally the flag of the older Council of Europe. See the European flag article. Cordless Larry 19:19, 17 February 2007 (UTC)
