- Interesting. I can't tell from the attribution, but it looks like it might be a translation of part of this. I'll do some more digging and see if I can find more about this. Thanks for the link. Mike Christie (talk) 10:37, 19 October 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Ecgberht's death
I'm a Spanish user (so sorry for my English) and I'm trasnlating the article to Spanish. I've found a posible mistake but I prefer to ask before. The article says that Ecgberht died in 675 but in his own article appears tha he died in 673 that is more consistent with the facts. Thanks. --Millars (talk) 12:08, 25 February 2008 (UTC)
- I think the article says Ecgberht died in 673; can you point to where it says 675? Mike Christie (talk) 12:40, 25 February 2008 (UTC)
- In the first sentence of "Kent in the late seventh century" section. --Millars (talk) 00:44, 26 February 2008 (UTC)
- It says "The dominant force in late seventh-century politics south of the River Humber was Wulfhere of Mercia, who reigned from the late 650s to 675. The king of Kent for much of this time was Ecgberht, who died in 673." It's Wulfhere who died in 675; Ecgberht died in 673. So I'm still not clear what the problem is.
