"Wicked World" is a song that appears on the U.S. version of Black Sabbath's debut album, Black Sabbath. The song replaced "Evil Woman," which appeared on the original U.K. pressing of the album. "Wicked World" was the first track recorded for the album and on this Tony Iommi plays a Fender Stratocaster. When this guitar broke he switched to his (then) secondary guitar, a Gibson SG, and has played guitars modelled on the SG ever since.
The song was released on We Sold Our Soul for Rock 'n' Roll in 1975 but did not make it onto 2002's Symptom of the Universe: The Original Black Sabbath 1970-1978
The song was covered by Spirit Caravan and appeared on 2002's Sucking the 70's compilation. It was also covered by Death Metal band Skinless on their 2006 release Trample the Weak, Hurdle the Dead.
